Attempted Child Abduction is a Daily Occurrence

I get Google Alerts on the keywords 'child abductions'.  Every day I get a listing of news stories of child abductions or attempted child abductions from around the world.  Most of them happen here in the US, like the story above.  Many days, there are multiple stories. I will begin to catalog them here, so you can begin to see how serious this issue is.

Teach your children how to react is someone tries to pick them up.  Create a safe word to use if someone besides you is to rightfully pick them up.  Practice with them.  If it seems like a lot of effort, think of your life without them in it.
