The first thing I felt was disbelief. If the good kid had not disarmed the weapon holder there would likely have been injury or deatb. I can, however understand how the school wants to defuse the situation by keeping all parties away until an investigation is completed, but they should make it clear that this is not a punishment to the "good" kid, but a precaution. When the investigation is complete, the student should be hailed as a hero.
ReplyDeleteIf indeed the student were a hero. I dislike media coverage that leaves more questions unanswered. An update indicates the students were suspended for not cooperating with the investigation. This shows a complexity to the story that was not evident in the original story.
ReplyDeleteWere the boys who did the tackling actually part of the problem that the boy with the gun was attempting to resolve?
I would like some actual reporting!
