A former substitute teacher will serve 90 days in prison for his inappropriate sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Wooten, 21, was sentenced Wednesday to 18 months in prison, but all but
90 days was suspended, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Shelbyville News
reports. The remainder will be served on probation, during which time
he’ll complete sex offender treatment. He’ll also have to register as a
sex offender for 10 years.
Wooten was arrested last year after
repeated sexual encounters with a 16-year-old student at Shelbyville
High School, where he was working as a substitute teacher, the newspaper
reports. A jury found him guilty in April of child seduction.
