Crimes against Children 7-26-12 Part II

Syracuse, NY
A former Oneida County Child Protective Services caseworker and Utica police officer admits having child pornography on his home computer in the town of Frankfort.

Stanley Dorozynski pleaded guilty in federal court in Syracuse on Wednesday. He could face a maximum of 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 7. He was immediately taken into custody following his plea.

Dorozynski will also have to register as a sex offender and pay a fine of up to $250,000.
He was responsible for investigating child abuse cases for the county agency, where he worked from 2008 until 2010 when his girlfriend found the pornography and called police.

Sioux City, IA
Three Iowans have pleaded guilty in a federal case alleging exploitation of children for child pornography.

Prosecutors say 56-year-old Michael Malcom, of Humboldt, was convicted of sexual exploitation of children. He admitted that between 2008 and 2010, he enticed youths under 18 to pose or perform for pornography.

Twenty-2-year-old Ashley Prince was convicted of aiding and abetting possession of child pornography. Prosecutors say Prince admitted helping Malcom in producing the porn.

Twenty-4-year-old Nikki Fawcett was convicted of interstate transportation with another person for prostitution. Prosecutors say Fawcett admitted that between 2007 and 2009, she drove people across state lines so they could engage in prostitution.

Okeechobee, FL
A 51-year old Okeechobee man was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child, computer child pornography, and possession or promotion of images of child pornography.

Arrested was Craig Barnes of the 17000 block of Northwest 284th St., Okeechobee. After receiving a complaint, deputies obtained a search warrant of Barnes' home. A news release reported that deputies found numerous items of child pornography.

Wake County, NC
A Wake County man will spend more than 20 years in federal prison after being convicted of possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Billy Charles Burgess, 66, pled guilty in January to charges of receiving child pornography. His case began nearly seven years ago when a search warrant was executed at his home in Raleigh after it was learned that he had sent photos over the Internet of prepubescent girls engaged in sexual acts. The photos went to a person posing as the mother of a juvenile that he anticipated meeting, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office.

During the search of Burgess’ home, a desktop and a laptop computer were seized. Four pictures of child pornography that had been downloaded from the Internet were recovered from his computer, according to prosecutors.

Zachery Blade MillerAsheboro, NC

An Asheboro man has been arrested on multiple child pornography charges.

Zachery Blade Miller, 22, was arrested Thursday.
 
Jack Wesley Turner, 52, of Reno, was indicted July 18, 2012, by a federal grand jury in Reno with receipt of child pornography. In 2004, Turner was sentenced to up to eight years in prison for distributing child pornography on the Internet. HandoutHe faces six counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for both receiving and sending out pornographic material, Randolph County deputies said.

Miller's arrest came after investigators viewed images of child pornography on a public network, deputies said.

Orlando, FL
An Orlando man who was accused of photographing children in his neighborhood was arrested on federal child pornography charges Thursday, and investigators say they found pictures of a former neighbor co-mingled with the illegal images.

Geoffrey Jones, 60, is accused of having hundreds of photographs and video of child porn on his computer, CDs and DVDs.

Aberdeen, SD
A former Indian Health Services employee has been sentenced to prison on a federal child pornography charge.

The American News reports (http://bit.ly/MLDcwD) that 55-year-old Ronald Dean Keats, of Aberdeen, was sentenced this week to three years and eight months in prison and a $100,000 fine. Keats earlier pleaded guilty to the charge.

Court records say an employee in the federal building in Aberdeen found a CD in the building's elevator in 2010. The disc contained images of child pornography as well as a document authored by the defendant.

In exchange for his guilty plea, three other charges of possession of child pornography against Keats were dismissed.

Charlotte, NC
A 28-year-old Charlotte man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement with child pornography.

A federal jury in Charlotte in May 2011 found Rashod Sentelle Robinson guilty of aiding and abetting the transportation of visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Federal prosecutors in Charlotte said Thursday the testimony during Robinson’s three-day trial established that FBI agents in Cleveland, Ohio, were conducting an online undercover investigation in 2009 and 2010 targeting people who used the Internet to share child pornography.

Friendswood, TX

Aphagus Ray WilliamsA Friendswood man has been arrested on child porn charges. 

Aphagus Ray Williams, 43, has been charged with six counts of possession or promotion of child pornography.

Friendswood police said they, with assistance from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at Williams' home on Thursday.
This arrest is the result of a two-month investigation involving the possession of child pornography via the Internet, detectives said.

Reno, NV
Jack Wesley Turner, 52, of Reno, was indicted July 18, 2012, by a federal grand jury in Reno with receipt of child pornography. In 2004, Turner was sentenced to up to eight years in prison for distributing child pornography on the Internet. HandoutA 52-year-old man previously convicted in Reno for distributing child pornography on the Internet was recently indicted by a Reno federal grand jury related to receiving illicit images of children.


Grand jurors issued an indictment July 18 against Jack Wesley Turner charging him with receipt of child pornography. The Reno man was arrested Wednesday, and booked into Washoe County Jail.


The indictment alleges that July 3 he was in receipt of child pornography. No further details were available.
