Oklahoma City, OK
An investigation is under way after a student at Roosevelt Middle School stabbed another student on Monday.
According to a written statement by Oklahoma City Public School officials, a boy in eighth grade was stabbed in the upper lip by a student in the seventh grade during lunchtime.
"The school's resource officer and building administrators responded to the incident quickly and defused the situation," the OKCPS statement said.
Administrators say they have no clue how the student was able to bring two knives into the school that requires those entering the building to walk through metal detectors. The student has been suspended from the school for one year and could face assault charges after being arrested by police.
