Belen, NM
A pair of teenagers is in custody after police foiled what they claim was a school shooting plot.
Investigators said Belen Middle School administrators learned about the threats on Monday.
Police said many students were afraid to come to school.
One student told police, seven teenaged boys were planning to come to school and shoot it up on Friday.
"We found out on Monday that some students that had been recently expelled from the school making threats they were going to shoot up the school this week," Chief Dan Robb said.
The investigation zeroed in on two eighth-grade boys -- a 13-year- old and a 14-year-old -- who had recently been kicked out of school.
