North Salem High School Student Arrested for Pointing Gun at Classmate
Salem, OR
A North Salem High School (Salem, Oregon) student was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly pulling out a handgun during class and pointing it at another student.
Staff members immediately contacted security. Salem Police confirmed the report, saying that, when approached by school staff, the 17-year-old male student fled the school. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on November 7.
Officers checked the area surrounding the school and eventually located the student hours later - at 12:30 p.m. - several blocks from the high school. At that time, the student was not carrying a gun.
He was arrested without incident on charges of disorderly conduct, menacing, and possession of a firearm in a public building.

Anti-Child Pornography Digest 5-18-12
Portland, OR
Dwayne Jamal Hubbard, 23, of Clackamas County, made his initial appearance on May 15, 2012 in federal court on an indictment charging him with one count of sex trafficking of a child and one count of coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity. According to prosecutors, Hubbard is facing a 10-year statutory mandatory minimum on each count. U.S. Magistrate Dennis Hubel detained Wilmer as both a danger to the community and a risk of flight.
The investigation leading to the charges was conducted by the Tigard Police Department and the FBI. The indictment alleges the sex trafficking took place recently between January and March 2012. “These arrests are the result of the excellent police work by the local law enforcement officers in Tigard who worked in conjunction with FBI agents,” said U.S. Attorney Amanda Marshall. “This teamwork is essential to protecting the children in this community from this dangerous trade.”
