Anti-Child Pornography Digest 4-16-12

Jacksonville, FL

United States Attorney Robert E. O’Neill announces that Christian Yvon Lapierre (46, a Canadian citizen residing in Jacksonville) was indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday on child pornography charges. Lapierre is charged with two counts of receiving child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison for each of the receipt counts and up to 10 years in federal prison for the possession count.

Detroit, MI

 Richard Leon Finkbiner, 39, of Brazil, Indiana, was charged today in a criminal complaint filed in the Eastern District of Michigan with inducing and coercing a minor to produce child pornography that was then transported in interstate commerce, announced United States Attorney Barbara L. McQuade.

Philadelphia, PA

Austin Ayers Winther, 65, of Philadelphia, was sentenced today to 88 months in prison for attempting to entice another individual to travel in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual activity and four counts of attempting to transfer obscene matter to a child less than 16 years of age. Winther admitted that he attempted to entice a mother and her 13-year-old daughter to travel to Pennsylvania from Idaho to engage in illegal sexual activity and attempted to send obscene images to a minor.

Alexandria, VA

Jason Laposay, 40, of Burke, Virginia, was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly making videos of his explicit sexual activity with an elementary-school-age girl and receiving thousands of images of child pornography. He was also accused of obstructing justice by destroying electronic evidence sought by law enforcement.
