
Police began investigating the 37-year-old Ballard in September after getting a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and found the illegal images on computers after serving a search warrant at Ballard’s home in the 1600 block of South Colorado Avenue Friday afternoon.
Investigators say Ballard was downloading illegal images from the Internet. He was arrested and booked into the jail Friday afternoon.

Investigators discovered that a computer later linked to Brown had a folder containing possible child pornography. They eventually tracked the computer to Brown's apartment and obtained a search warrant, the arrest report said.
Lynchburg, VA
Five men have pleaded guilty in Virginia to child pornography charges.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Heaphy says the men entered pleas Monday in federal court in Lynchburg.
They are Manuel Antonio Mares of Miami; Jeremy Hart Yost of West Bend, Ore.; Richard Phillip Allen of Redondo Beach, Calif.; James Calvin Boyd of Pell City, Ala., and Jesse Leon Coleman of Lynchburg. The defendants range in age from 26 to 66.
They each face up to 20 years in prison, $250,000 fines and will be required to register as sex offenders.
Court testimony showed large numbers of pictures and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children were found on some of the defendants' computers.

A Southern Oregon gymnastics teacher and sports
photographer faces 30 child pornography charges for allegedly taking
pictures of students while they were changing during private photo
sessions at as many as three local gymnastics businesses over the past
nine years, authorities said.
A family law attorney who used to practice in Kent appeared in court
today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with receipt and
possession of child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney’s
Office.
David S. Engle, 49 of Maple Valley, was arrested today, and appeared in U.S. District Court in Seattle.
Engle caught law enforcement attention after an investigation of an international movie production company that had a website advertising the sale of DVDs and streaming videos depicting young boys in sexually explicit activity, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Bettman was arraigned Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on 30
crimes stemming from photographs seized from his computer during a
Friday search of his home on the 1800 block of Camp Baker Road just
outside of Medford, authorities said.
The search identified the presence of what
appeared to be child pornography photos of gymnasts changing and taken
without their consent or knowledge, said Detective Josh Nieminen from
the Southern Oregon High-Tech Crimes Task Force, which is investigating
the case.
