High school students attack a school administrator

Three teens followed a 67-year old school administrator out of a convenience store, and then brutally attacked him.  He was body-slammed into the ground, and was then repeatedly punched while on the ground. 

The police investigated, and were able to identify, then arrest the three attackers.

The victim sustained multiple fractures to his neck, back and left arm.

School nurse sexually assaulted a student

Safe Havens, International

Barboursville School, a residential facility for seriously emotionally disturbed students, was allegedly the scene of a sexual assault by the school nurse, against one of the students.

The police were made aware of the situation when complaints were filed against the student for waving a gun and threatening to kill the nurse's ex-husband.  Subsequent interviews with the student and the nurse led to charges being filed.

School shootings are not just an American thing

A student carrying a rifle used that rifle to threaten a security guard into allowing him to enter School No. 263.  Once the boy was in the school, the security guard called the police.  When they responded, the boy shot and killed one of the police officers, then killed a teacher.

He then took a classroom hostage, but let them all go before the police ended the siege.

No word, as yet, of any reason for the attack.

High school senior expelled for making terroristic threats

A 17-year old student at Traip Academy in Kittery, MA, made threats to kill students and teachers.  Several of his frightened classmates reported him to the school's administrators

He was quickly removed from class, and the police were called.  They got a search warrant for the boy's home, where they found a knife and several other pieces of evidence.

The student has been expelled.

Bus driver charged with neglect for choking

Naples, Florida
After one student was choked unconscious by another without apparent notice by the driver, the police arrested and charged the school bus driver with neglect because the driver “failed to provide any assistance to the victim during or after the Oct. 15 attack.”

Even after another student help the victim off the bus onto a sidewalk, the driver "did not get off of the bus to inquire about the seriousness of the injury to the victim, nor did she call 911 or call for medical assistance."

The attacker was arrested and charged as a juvenile with battery.

Middle school student has gun at school, gets arrested

Vancouver, Washington

An 11-year old student at Frontier Middle School was arrested and charged with attempted murder when police found him in possession of a handgun, 400 rounds of ammunition, and several knives.

No information has yet been released about a possible motive.

School shooting in Georgia

De Kalb County, Georgia

A 19-year old man allegedly followed an entering employee into Robert McNair Elementary School and ended up taking the front office staff hostage.

School children were evacuated out of the building, and as the police came, shots rang out.

Yet, luckily, no one was injured.

Children were bused to a nearby WalMart to be reunited with their families.
