Two seemingly random acts of robbery were reported in the park behind Wogaman PreK-8 School on Tuesday.
One
suspect in the first incident -- reported around 5:15 p.m. -- was
booked into the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center on West Second
Street on Tuesday night, according to a police report obtained
Wednesday. The male is accused of being one of up to four black males
who jumped a 16-year-old as he was walking westbound in the park behind
the school.
According to Dayton Public Schools' website, the school is located at 920 McArthur Avenue and enrolls students from Pre-K through eighth grade.
Then,
around 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Germantown
Street, near Wogaman. The initial call came in as an armed robbery and
the 18-year-old victim told police two black males approached him and
told him to "give them his stuff," according to the police report.
