David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of
Connecticut, announced that a federal grand jury sitting in New Haven
returned an indictment today charging Michael Martarano, 33, last
residing on Livingston Street in New Haven, with one count of receipt
and distribution of child pornography. The indictment alleges that,
between June 2007 and July 2009, Martarano received and distributed
images of child pornography.
The charge of receipt and distribution of child pornography carries a
mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years, a maximum term of
imprisonment of 20 years, and a fine of up to $250,000.
