Child Abduction Digest 5-1-12

Roseland, IL

Chicago Police issued an alert Monday warning Roseland residents of an attempted child abduction that took place in the neighborhood last week.

Police reported that around 9:00 last Wednesday morning an 11-year-old girl was followed by a white male driving a black car while she was on her way to school in the 10400 block of State Street.

The offender attempted to lure the girl into the car by offering her money and a cell phone.  The girl refused and the man drove off as a teacher approached.  Police reported the offender is a white male about 40 years of age, with dark eyes, black hair.  He was wearing a white shirt at the time and driving a black 4-door vehicle.
