Child Abduction Digest 5-10-12

Ft. Bend County, TX
Investigators say a woman accused of abducting a Fort Bend County boy did so to get revenge on the child’s father after their three-year affair ended.

Kismat Momin, 34, turned herself in to authorities Tuesday afternoon and has been charged with kidnapping in the abduction of 9-year-old Amsal Dhuka.

Amsal disappeared after getting off the school bus Monday afternoon and was dropped off at an Islamic Center in Stafford early Tuesday morning.  He was not harmed.

Ft. Meyers, FL
It was a lie so elaborate it caused unnecessary worry in the community and wasted police resources and man hours. They were searching for a suspected child abductor that didn't exist.

Now, the grandmother of the kids who told that lie is apologizing for them.

"We went over a little bit about the Ten Commandments and about 'thou shall not lie about thy neighbor,'" she said.

A 5-year old girl and her 8-year old brother are learning the hard way about the consequences of lying.

West Hoxton, England
POLICE have appealed for information after two men attempted to lure a school-girl into their car in West Hoxton yesterday.

About 2.50pm, the 13-year-old girl was walking north on Second Avenue, when a small white hatchback slowed and stopped opposite her.

The male passenger opened his door and attempted to lure the girl into the vehicle.

The driver also tried to convince the girl to get in the car.

The girl ran home and reported the incident to her parents, who informed police.
