A Shelbyville man arrested last month on accusations of false
informing now faces charges of child molesting after investigators said
he a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl.

Smith, 25, was arrested last month after making what police said were
false accusations against a relative, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Shelbyville News
reports. In the course of that investigation, the relative told police
of her worries over his living arrangements and potential inappropriate
relationships with young girls, according to court documents.
