A 45-year-old man from Macomb Township has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
The Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team (M.A.C.E.) arrested Daniel Joseph Morris on Saturday, July 14 at his place of employment.
Detectives were tipped off by two people who had been residing with Morris for two weeks.The tipsters told investigators that they had viewed a video depicting child pornography with a victim as young as six-years-old. They also found images of child pornography on the suspect's home computer.
Morris has a prior Criminal Sexual Conduct conviction from 1990.
Deputies executed a search warrant at the suspect's home in Macomb Township. A computer and other material were seized.
Urbana, IL
A former Oakwood man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for possessing child pornography.
A release from the office of U.S. Attorney James Lewis said that Donald Cunningham, 47, who currently lives in the 2300 block of East University Avenue, Urbana, was arrested and arraigned Monday in U.S. District Court in Urbana on an indictment returned last week.
He was charged with three counts of receiving child pornography and one of possessing it.
