Paris, ME
A Fryeburg man has pleaded not guilty to molesting two infants and possessing child pornography.

Twenty-two-year-old Luke Edmunds was arraigned Tuesday in Oxford County Superior Court on charges of possession of sexually explicit materials and unlawful sexual contact.
The Sun Journal ( http://bit.ly/OYjBfL) reports that a Maine State Police investigator says Edmunds was living in Fryeburg with a family member when police traced an Internet address sharing child pornography on file-sharing networks. Police subpoenaed FairPoint Communications and found the Internet account registered to Edmunds' grandfather.
That man didn't know how to use the Internet. But police say Edmunds admitted to sharing the files. Police were later told by two people that Edmunds had sexually touched two infants.

A Kingsland man was sentenced to 90 years in federal prison for filming his sex acts with three children and distributing it across state lines as child pornography.

Angel Luis Rivera, 41, pleaded guilty in April to three of 11 counts of sexually exploiting three children. Those charges were in an indictment that a federal grand jury handed up in February 2011 that accused Rivera of persuading or enticing a boy, 4, and girls, then 6 and 14, to engage in sexually explicit conduct so he could produce child pornography.

A Brighton man has pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography.

Mohamad Nazir Ahmad, 59, of Brighton, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge David G. Larimer, U. S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced Wednesday.

Nazir Ahmad possessed a camera with a memory stick containing three videos he produced. The videos depicted him engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a 13-year-old girl, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, who is handling the case.

A Lowndes County judge has sentenced 59-year-old Robert Triplett to 40 years in prison on state charges of possession of child pornography.

Circuit Judge Lee Coleman on Tuesday ordered that the sentence run consecutive to a 10-year attempted aggravated assault sentence Triplett already is serving from Jackson County, Miss., and a 10-year federal child porn conviction.

Triplett was sentenced as a habitual offender.

Prosecutors say Triplett was arrested after investigators found explicit photos of minor children on a computer obtained from his home. The computer was examined during an investigation into the September 2009 disappearance of Triplett's 21-year-old stepdaughter, Kaila Morris.

Following a multi-agency, months-long investigation, a 53-year-old woman in Pembroke has been arrested and charged with possession of a sexual performance of a child.
Beverly Hensel, of Allegheny Road, is accused of possessing child pornography from January 2008 until December 2009.

Det. Kevin Czora said Batavia PD became the lead agency because the investigation originated with a different suspect in the city, but as the investigation progressed detectives connected the case to Hansel.

The pornography allegedly possessed by Hansel was obtained over the Internet, Czora said, and Hansel did not know any of the subjects in the material.

Baltimore, MD
U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake sentenced Roger Allen Repp, III, age 45, formerly of Hagerstown, Maryland, today to 25 years in prison, followed by supervised release for life, for sexually exploiting a minor to produce child pornography. Judge Blake also ordered that upon Repp’s release from prison he must register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

According to Repp’s plea agreement, Repp produced sexually explicit and lascivious photographs of a teenage girl under the age of 16 via a pinhole camera he set up in the girl’s bedroom and bathroom, without her knowledge. Repp admitted that he distributed those images to other pedophiles via a file sharing program over the Internet, in return for other child pornography being sent to him. Repp’s conduct was discovered during an undercover investigation of file sharing activities on the Internet, when on March 11 and March 16, 2011, respectively, two separate undercover investigators downloaded images and videos of child pornography from Repp’s collection via a file sharing program.

Corning, NY
A 22-year-old Corning man has been sentenced to seven years in prison and 25 years of supervised release for possession of child pornography.

In June 2009, an investigator from the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit was conducting an investigation involving peer-to-peer file sharing of images of children being sexually exploited and abused.

In August 2009, the investigation led law enforcement to the residence of Bryan Griswold, of Corning.

Federal prosecutors say Griswold admitted he downloaded child pornography from the Internet using the Limewire peer-to-peer file sharing program.

Griswold possessed more than 600 images of child pornography. The defendant also admitted that he possessed sexually explicit images he took of two female relatives who were approximately two-years-old.
