Fox News is reporting that a young man, angered at being kicked off the debate team, brought a shotgun to school, targeting the teacher. The teacher left the school, presumably in an attempt to draw the student out of the school. Inside, the student shot a 15-year old student, in critical condition in the hospital, then killed himself.
As always there are many questions, but I will let the information develop a bit before I start asking them.
I am just happy that it wasn't any worse than it was.

Windsor School Principal on Leave after Arrest
Windsor, CO
The principal of Windsor Middle School is on paid administrative leave following an arrest in what police say was a domestic violence dispute at his home.
Court records show Doug Englert was arrested last week on suspicion of charges including harassment and domestic violence. Police Sgt. Rick Klinek says Englert's son was present during the incident but wasn't injured. He says no weapons were involved.

Loveland School Seizes Rosary Beads from Student, Says They’re ‘Gang Symbol’

A student is questioning whether his faith or his fashion is under fire at his high school in Loveland.
Thompson Valley High School officials have confiscated his rosary beads twice since school started three weeks ago.
And he says they never told him, or his family, why.
“They tell me I can’t wear them,” says Manuel Vigil, showing us an identical rosary to the one seized by his school.
The junior says he wears rosary beads to protect himself from harm.
But his school district thinks the religious necklace will harm students.
The district says they can be affiliated with gangs, and disrupt learning.

Student Steers Bus To Safety After School Bus Driver Falls
Colorado Springs, CO
A school bus full of students was close to crashing into oncoming traffic in Colorado Springs on Thursday but avoided an accident thanks to one brave teenager on board.
The driver was trying to fix a trash can that fell mid-route Thursday morning. He was stopped at a light at Chelton Road and Platte Avenue, and when it changed he got back into the seat, but was knocked out of the chair by taking a sharp turn and called to anyone in the bus who would help out since he got stuck.
“While we started turning he hit the curb and he fell out and he got stuck and he was asking everyone to help,” Jeremy Rice, 14, told CBS4 television partner KKTV.
Rice, a student at Colorado Springs Early Colleges, then jumped to action. He ran from the back of the bus, got behind the wheel, drove the bus through on-coming traffic and to the side of the road and where he brought the bus to a safe stop using the emergency brake.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is now looking into an explosion that rocked Erie Middle School and the surrounding neighborhood Wednesday.Fire investigators said three people suffered burn and fall injuries when a plumbing company employee tried to re-light a hot water heater and a buildup of gas ignited.
