Columbia, Illinois police have released a composite sketch and updated description of a man they say tried to abduct a young boy.
Police say a man called the boy over to his van around 8:00
p.m. Friday near Locust and North Main Street. When the boy, 11, got
close, police say the man grabbed him and tried to pull him into the
vehicle.
The child reportedly fought his way free, then ran away to
find his older sister who called police. All of this happened during an
annual festival in Columbia.

According to the Lynden Police Department, the incident happened near the intersection of 4th Street and Liberty.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a report before 4 p.m. of a man who tried to abduct a girl.
