Kismat Momin, the 34-year-old woman wanted in connection with the
abduction of a 9-year-old Fort Bend County boy Monday, walked in to the
Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon with her attorney
and turned herself in.
Chief Deputy Craig Brady said Momin has been charged with kidnapping, a third-degree-felony.
Momin is accused of abducting Amsal Dhuka after he got off of the
school bus near his apartment complex on FM 1464 Monday afternoon.
Clearwater, FL
A 12 year-old girl who ran away from home and was nearly abducted has prompted increased police patrols around Clearwater High School in light of the incident Monday night.
The girl was near Clearwater High School when an unknown suspect made
contact with her, pulling her into some trees near the concession area
around 10:45 p.m., according to police.
Oakwood, OH
Police and the city's school district are asking children, their
parents and guardians to be on alert after what is being called a
possible attempted child abduction that occurred recently.
Oakwood
police confirmed Tuesday that the incident is the first they have
investigated this year and said they are asking area police agencies
about a white commercial van believed to have been involved in an
incident last week.
