Reports: Man Attempted to Lure Students into His Car

Wellington, FL
Reports of a man attempting to lure two students into his car has parents and officials at dozens of western Palm Beach County schools on alert.

No students were injured or abducted in the incidents reported last week. At least two principals sent letters home, asking parents to caution their children.

Osceola Creek Middle School Principal Dan Frank urged parents to talk to their children about stranger danger.

Last week, a 14-year-old Emerald Cove Middle School student told police a car followed her to the bus stop and a man got out, opened his trunk and told her he wanted to show her something. He asked which school she attended. That afternoon, a similar car followed another student from Osceola Creek Middle School in Loxahatchee. He offered that student a ride home.
