A heart-pounding moment for a 12-year-old Sacramento boy Friday morning.
The boy was walking to school
on Lincoln Village Drive at about 8:30 a.m. when a white van pulled up
beside him and the driver tried to grab his arm, said Sacramento County
sheriff's Deputy Jason Ramos.
About the same time, the boy told authorities that the
van's sliding side door opened and he saw another man crouched in the
back.
The boy pulled his arm away and ran home to report what happened. He was not hurt.
Cleveland police said an arrest has been made in connection with the
attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl from a west side train station
earlier this week.
Investigators released surveillance photos of the suspect Thursday.
The incident happened at about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday as the girl was getting off the train at the Puritas Avenue station.
Milwaukee, WI
Even though her 4-year-old girl is back home, a Milwaukee mother said she wants to set the record straight about her daughter's abduction from Starms Elementary School.
Charity, 4, doesn't want to leave her house these days or her mother's side.
"She's right up under me. She sleeps with me. I can't go to the restroom. I literally have to hold her hand, and she has to hold mine," Paula said.
Mom Paula said her little girl is suffering nightmares after being taken from her school last week.
"She never came to the office. I said, 'What is taking her so long?'" Paula said.
Paula said she waited 15 to 20 minutes for Charity.
"The teacher came kind of with an attitude, 'You looking for Charity?' Rolling her neck," Paula said.
"'A lady came in here with a curly wig on and said that you said that she could take her so that's what I did. I gave her Charity, and they went out the back door.'"
