Washington, D.C.
A Chillum man was arrested after Prince George's County police say he abducted two girls and sexually assaulted them.
Police said Charles Amofa, 25, lured a
6-year-old girl from the Value Village Thrift Store, 2777 University
Boulevard, about 1:30 p.m., and took her to a nearby playground in the
area of Chapman Road, police said.
The man promised her a toy and took the girl while her father was not watching, police said.
Officer Fredys Castro-Rivas spotted the man and the girl and rushed to her rescue, police said.
Police said Amofa admitted to a similar incident involving an 8-year-old girl on July 9.
