Two high school students are among three teenagers shot near a public charter school in Grand Rapids.
WOOD-TV reports that a 17-year-old female student at Hope Academy of West Michigan was shot in the leg.
WZZM-TV reports that the other student also was wounded in the leg and that both went back to the school after being shot.
A 16-year-old male was shot in his side. He is not a student at the kindergarten through 12th grade school.
Police say the shootings were off school property and reported about 3 p.m., shortly after classes ended for the day.

Two Teens Shot while Playing Basketball near School
Chicago, IL
Two teenagers were shot while they played basketball Tuesday night near a public elementary school in the Rogers Park neighborhood, police said.
The teens — ages 17 and 18 — were shooting hoops in the 7600 block of North Marshfield, where the Stephen F. Gale Math and Science Academy is located, police said.
A light colored sport-utility vehicle drove by about 10 p.m. and shots were fired, police said.
The 17-year-old boy was shot in the left arm and the 18-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the buttocks, officials said.
Both teens were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where they were listed in good condition, police said.

The First Clear Link Between Violent Video Games And Hostility

Teenagers who play violent video games over a number of years become more aggressive towards other people as a result, a new study has found.
The research findings were said to be the first indication of a clear link between a sustained period of playing violent games and subsequent increases in hostile behaviour.
Girls who played them during their school years were found to be affected just as much as boys.
The research team at Brock University in Canada said their results were "concerning" and argued that violent games could "reinforce the notion that aggression is an effective and appropriate way to deal with conflict and anger."
