Monroe, CT
Monroe police detectives are investigating the attempted abduction of
a 10-year-old girl who was riding her bicycle in the 600-block of Main
Street at around 6 p.m. on Friday.
While the girl was riding her bicycle, police said a Black SUV turn
into Little Diet Road and skidded to a stop and a bald white male jumped
out of the passenger door of the SUV and ran toward her.
The girl became scared and began to ride her bicycle home when she
noticed a hand grab her handle bars, according to the report. Police
said she jumped off her bicycle, ran and hid behind a Dumpster in back
of a nearby business.
Once she noticed that the man was gone, she ran to her home nearby.
