Ft. Colville, WA
Two students, ten and an eleven year old, at Fort Colville Elementary were arrested after they brought a .45cal handgun with a full clip onto a school bus. Their intent was to use the handgun to keep anyone from interfering with their plan to rape and stab to death a female classmate.
They had written out a step-by-step plan. She was selected as the target because "she's rude and always made fun of me and my friends."
The eleven-year old told the police, "I was going to kill her with the knife and [10-year-old] was supposed
to use the gun to keep anyone from trying to stop me or mess up our
plan."
The prosecutor determined that the rape was not intended as a display of sexual desire, but as a means of displaying power.
A judge ruled that both boys were emotionally mature to understand what they were doing, and the case is proceeding to trial.
