Mooresville, IN
A bomb threat was discovered at Mooresville High School on Thursday.
The threat was found in a bathroom. It was a picture, drawn in pencil, of a bomb with Friday's date, Sept. 28, indicated.
School officials immediately called police and alerted parents, with a message that reads, in part, “The disruption of our educational day and a threat upon the safety of our students is a very serious matter. We will make every effort to keep our school community informed as more information becomes available.”
The Mooresville Police Department told 24-Hour News 8 bomb sniffing dogs searched several times inside the school overnight Thursday into Friday but turned up nothing.
Police are also reviewing security footage taken from several cameras inside the school.
If a student is responsible, Mooresville's Chief Communications Officer, Susan Haynes, said that student could face expulsion.

Ohio College Safe, Reopened after Bomb Threat
Hiram, OH
Hiram College officials gave the "all clear" and reopened their northeast Ohio school Friday night, after an hours-long sweep found nothing suspicious following a bomb threat.
College spokesman Tom Ford said the campus community was alerted that the school was safe.
"Nothing was found that was suspicious," Ford said.
The college received an emailed bomb threat about 4 p.m. and ordered everyone on campus to evacuate. Ford said state and federal authorities were notified about the email, and safety teams with bomb-sniffing dogs checked the campus "room by room, building by building."

Louisiana High School Student Arrested For Terrorizing
Louisiana
A 17-year-old student at Parkway High School has been arrested after school officials found a posting on Facebook describing violent threats to the high school.
Nolan Asszony, 17, of the 2000 block of Ray Avenue in Bossier City, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of terrorizing after posting a detailed sketch and information of planned acts of violence at the school that would take place at Parkway High School at a later date, a release from the Bossier sheriff’s office says.
Asszony told deputies he made the posting to Facebook around 4 p.m. Tuesday “so people could see how he draws and what he’s into,” the release said. Deputies say the posting went into great detail on how Asszony would carry out his plan of violence.

A 16-year-old student was sentenced to six months in a secure juvenile detention facility for plotting to bomb Roy High School.
