Police are investigating a report of a possible child abduction attempt near Prine Elementary School in Bradenton.
According to reports, two students were walking home from school on
Oxford Drive on Thursday afternoon when they said a man driving a white
Hummer stopped, leaned out of the vehicle and asked if they wanted
candy.
The students did not respond, and the man drove off.
The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 25 and 30.
He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head.
Silver City, NV
A Silver City teen kept his cool and thwarted a
man's attempt to grab him on his way to catch the bus on Thursday
morning, police said.
The 13-year-old La Plata Middle School student was attacked Thursday
morning in the area of 12th and Swan streets, according to Silver City
Police.
The suspect, described as a white male who is approximately 40 years
old, had not been apprehended by Silver City Police at press time on
Thursday, but Capt. Terry Fortenberry said that police had issued an
attempt-to-locate for the man as well as the dark blue mini van that
witnesses reported he had been driving. Anybody with information
regarding the suspect should call the police department.
