Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada
An 18-year old Albert man made threats on Facebook that mentioned the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack, and was classified by Alberta police as "disturbing".
It’s the second time that a young person has made threats aimed at an Alberta school.
Last week, a 17-year-old student at Ponoka Composite High School made threats. That boy was arrested in possession of two rifles and ammunition.

San Francisco High School Senior Suspended For Writing Poem About Sandy Hook Shooting
San Francisco, CA
A student was suspended from school for writing a poem about the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack.
A passage from the poem read, "I understand the killings in Connecticut. I know why he pulled the trigger." The student went on to write, "Why are we oppressed by a dysfunctional community of haters and blamers?"
The student said that the poem was just a way to express herself.

Stewart Lawrence writes a common-sense piece that echoes my sentiments on the Sandy Hook Elementary attack. Let's keep our eye on the ball, and not get distracted by by shiny things like gun control or gun bans.
The ball is school safety, with the emphasis on schools.
