Knife Attack in Pennsylvania High School

Twenty people were wounded in a knife attack at Franklin Regional High School near Pittsburgh four of them seriously.  A student is in custody as a suspect.

Edged weapon attacks like this are actually more prevalent than Active Shooter Incidents, as found in a new book, Staying Alive: How to Act Fast and Survive Deadly Encounters, being released by Barron's Educational on May 13, 2014.

Student rapes a fellow student in high school

Lawrence Central High School was the scene of a rape of a female student by a 16-year old male student.

The two were walking together in the gym when the male student forced the female into a closed hallway, then allegedly raped her.

School and police officials said that physical and video evidence support the girl's claim.

Teachers: "Don't shoot us during the exercise!"

Teachers in Farmington, MO refused to participate in an Active Shooter exercise after they were handed goggles and told they might get "shot" with pellet guns.

Teachers are not required to participate in such exercises.

Terrorists in China attack a train station with knives

Muslim separatists in China attacked a train station in Kunming Province.  29 people were killed, and over 130 were wounded when a group of men swooped upon unsuspecting patrons of the train station and began slashing.

Those who were slow to react were often the victims, as the men seemed to be targeting at random.

Four were shot and killed by police, and one was arrested.

Child seduction charges for an Indiana teacher

A high school golf coach and teacher was arrested over the weekend and charged with child seduction after being found naked in his truck with a 17-year old student. He admitted to having had sex with the student.

The teacher is reportedly married to a school administrator in the district.

The teacher has resigned from the district.

Boko Haram, a group to keep an eye on

The terrorist group Boko Haram is killing innocent school children in NigeriaBoko Haram means, "Western education is forbidden." 

In a recent attack, Boko Haram locked students in a hostel and burned it down, savagely killing students who tried to escape.

This clearly shows that school safety is not just a U.S. problem.

Fox News

Reports of shots fired at a high school in Lake Mary, Florida.

As of 1:30pm, students were being let back into the school, which they wouldn't do if there were a crime scene inside.

Thankfully, nothing to see here!

High school students attack a school administrator

Three teens followed a 67-year old school administrator out of a convenience store, and then brutally attacked him.  He was body-slammed into the ground, and was then repeatedly punched while on the ground. 

The police investigated, and were able to identify, then arrest the three attackers.

The victim sustained multiple fractures to his neck, back and left arm.

Some of the 20 women abducted from a school by Boko Haram have been rescued by Nigerian forces.

Boko Haram is an al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group that has attacked schools in Nigeria.

US schools should take this as a general warning, and revisit their own anti-terrorist plans.

Burned cookies? Terrorize a middle school!

A school cook became upset when a co-worker baked a batch of cookies she had already baked.  She responded by threatening to shoot up King Phillip Middle School with an AK-47.  This prompted her arrest.

She was arraigned, then released on bond.
